FISAT Business School (FBS) hosts a vibrant ecosystem of student-driven clubs including the Marketing Club, Finance Club, HR Club, Entrepreneurship Club and Literary Club, each dedicated to a specific functional area of management. These clubs actively organise workshops, competitions, guest lectures, simulations, and case discussions that enhance domain-specific knowledge and practical skills. Marketing Club
Pitch Perfect – The Marketing Club of FISAT Business School conducted Pitch Perfect, an intellectually stimulating marketing quiz competition, with the final round held on 19 February 2025. The event was organized in two competitive phases to assess students’ knowledge, analytical ability, and awareness of contemporary marketing trends. The preliminary round saw enthusiastic participation from students across batches, with questions covering core marketing concepts and current industry practices. The top-performing teams advanced to a highly competitive final round that demanded quick thinking, strategic reasoning, and effective teamwork. Pranav and Kevin, final-year MBA students, emerged as the winners, demonstrating strong conceptual clarity, application skills, and confident performance. The competition enhanced students’ engagement with marketing fundamentals and encouraged experiential learning through healthy academic competition.
Finance Club
FISAT Business School hosted the Financial Education for Young Citizens programme on 9 and 10 October 2024 under the aegis of the Finance Club, as a collaborative initiative of National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM), Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), and Aditya Birla Capital Foundation under their CSR project to promote financial literacy among young citizens. The programme aimed to bridge the gap between academic learning and industry requirements in the finance sector, providing MBA students with a strong foundation for the dynamic and competitive financial landscape. The session was led by Mr. Manoj T. Neelakantan, Personal Finance Trainer, former AGM at IDBI Bank, and SEBI Certified Trainer, who delivered valuable insights on personal finance and financial awareness. The NISM certification offered through the programme enhanced students’ professional preparedness and provided them with a significant advantage for future careers in the finance industry.
Student-Led Finance Podcasts: Learning Through Business News – As part of the Finance Club activities, FISAT Business School initiated a series of student-led finance podcasts aimed at promoting experiential learning through regular engagement with current business and financial news. Interested club members prepared short evening podcasts summarizing key updates from leading business dailies such as Business Standard, Business Line, and The Economic Times. Students also tracked and presented significant financial developments, including important highlights from Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) meetings. This initiative enhanced students’ awareness of real-time market trends while improving their analytical ability, communication skills, and confidence in presenting financial insights. The programme served as an effective platform for industry-relevant learning and encouraged students to stay informed about the evolving financial environment.
National Seminar on Banking- The State Forum of Bankers Clubs, Kerala, in association with the Federal Institute of Science and Technology (FISAT), organized the National Seminar on Banking 2025 at the FISAT Seminar Hall, Mookkannoor on 26 August 2025. The programme was attended by executives from various banks and senior members of the Bankers’ Clubs. The seminar featured eminent speakers such as Shri. C. Balagopal (IAS Retd.), Chairman – KSIDC, and Dr. V. K. Vijayakumar, Chief Investment Strategist, Geojit Financial Services, who delivered insightful sessions on “Banking as Part of Infrastructure for Economic Growth and Development” and “Invest to Profit from the India Growth Story.” The interactive discussions and expert talks enhanced students’ understanding of the evolving banking sector and investment opportunities, providing valuable perspectives on India’s economic growth and financial landscape.The Finance Club bridges academic learning with real-world financial dynamics through industry programmes, student-led podcasts, and structured seminars. Collaborating with NISM and SEBI, the club organises Financial Education for Young Citizens, providing students SEBI-certified insights on personal finance.

HR Club
Industry Talk on Emerging Trends in HR and Recruitment- The HR Club of FISAT Business School successfully conducted an industry interaction session on Emerging Trends in Technology, Competency Development, and Recruitment on 22 January 2025 at the Main Seminar Hall for S2 and S4 students. The session was led by Dr. Pradeep S, Assistant Vice President – NeST Digital, who shared valuable insights on the growing influence of technology in HR, evolving competency requirements, and contemporary recruitment practices. The interactive session provided students with practical industry exposure, effectively bridging academic learning with real-world HR dynamics.
Entrepreneurship Club
Women Entrepreneurship Network Business Conclave (Wen Bizcon)- A team of FBS students, led by Dr. Sindhu George, Associate Professor at FISAT Business School, participated in the Women Entrepreneurship Network Business Conclave (WEN BIZCON) held on 9 August 2024 at the Grand Hyatt, Bolgatty, Kochi. The conclave brought together aspiring entrepreneurs, industry experts, and innovators to highlight and promote the role of women in the business ecosystem. The event provided students with an excellent platform to interact with inspiring leaders and gain valuable insights into emerging trends and opportunities in entrepreneurship. Their participation enhanced their understanding of the evolving entrepreneurial landscape and encouraged greater awareness of women’s contributions to business and innovation.
Ideathon 2025, organized by the Entrepreneurship Development Club of FISAT Business School in collaboration with the NDLI Club and IIC, was successfully conducted on 12 March 2025 as a vibrant platform to promote innovation and entrepreneurial thinking among students. The event brought together participants from diverse disciplines who presented creative and impactful solutions to real-world challenges. Following rigorous evaluation rounds, five teams advanced to the finals and pitched their ideas before a panel of four esteemed judges. Mr. Mohammed Mohsin UA and Mr. Nooh Mohammed (B.Tech EEE) won the first prize of ₹3,000, while the second prize of ₹2,000 was secured by Ms. Hasna Fathima KA, Mr. Aashin, Ms. Ayana Thomas, and Ms. Ashly Shajan (MBA). Ideathon 2025 strengthened students’ problem-solving, presentation, and entrepreneurial skills, reaffirming the institution’s commitment to nurturing innovation and start-up culture.

Literary Club
FBSQ 2025 – Quiz Competition – FBSQ 2025, a quiz competition organized by FISAT Business School in association with the MBA Library, was successfully conducted on January 8, 2025, with enthusiastic participation from 41 student teams. The event was designed to foster critical thinking, teamwork, and academic engagement among students through four competitive rounds, culminating in an exciting rapid-fire final featuring four teams. The programme was efficiently coordinated by faculty members Ms. Merin Thomas, Mr. Prashanth V, and Ms. Suja, along with dedicated student organizers. Mr. Neeraj Suresh and Mr. Sooraj C.R. (3rd Year, CSE) secured first place and were awarded ₹2000 and certificates, while Mr. Sreepadlal K and Mr. Steephen Joseph (4th Year, ECE) won second place with ₹1000 and certificates; all participants received certificates of participation. The prize distribution ceremony was graced by Chairman Mr. Shimith P R and Dr. Elizabath George, Director, whose presence added prestige to the occasion.The Literary Club nurtures critical thinking, communication, and intellectual engagement among students. Its flagship FBSQ quiz competition — conducted in association with the MBA Library — draws enthusiastic participation from 40+ teams across batches.
